Our history begins in 1997<\/h2>\n

A-tel Communications was born as a pioneer telecommunications company, allowing customers to purchase land lines in Guatemalan territory, mostly in rural areas.<\/p>\n

In 2007 A-tel launched mobile unlimited telephone business from USA to Guatemala, connecting people, almost all of them located in Guatemalan rural areas.<\/p>\n

Due to the unique line of business in the market, the service is still highly valued by our users and we are currently servicing thousands of customers.<\/p>\n

Due to the high demand of service, the contact center area is expanded so we could offer technical support, marketing agents and customer service, additionally a CRM was integrated internally, transforming A-tel into a first class Call Center.<\/p>\n

San Marcos is bordered on the northeast by the department of Huehuetenango, on the east by the department of Quetzaltenango, to the south by the department of Retalhuleu and by the Pacific Ocean, and on the west by the Mexican state of Chiapas.<\/p>\n

The northern portion of the department is mountainous, being crossed by the Sierra Madre de Chiapas mountain range. The two highest volcanoes in Central America being located within its borders, Tajumulco and Tacan\u00e1. The Tajumulco volcano is the highest peak in Central America.<\/p>\n

The climate varies widely within the department, due to the dramatic differences in altitude.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
